If you’re into the Adidas Gazelle, but would like some variety, this one might be for you. The revamped Dime x adidas Gazelle ADV officially lands on March 1, bringing an upgraded feel to the Gazelle with two clean color options.
Design:
Dime MTL has long been a staple in skatewear, but lately, they’ve ramped up their sneaker collaborations. Since 2023, almost every seasonal drop has included co-branded footwear, and among their most frequent partners is Adidas. That partnership keeps rolling with their latest release: the Dime x adidas Gazelle ADV.
Dime’s skate shoes usually stick to understated aesthetics, choosing classic colourways while occasionally playing with materials and textures. This Gazelle ADV follows that formula, arriving in a slick black leather build. The usual Three Stripes branding is swapped out for six silver studs in parallel rows and metallic co-branding near the collar, and patent leather heel badges round out the premium feel.
Alongside the black-and-silver version, a second “Maroon/Silver Metallic” colorway will also be released on March 1st. The design stays the same, simply swapping black for deep maroon.
Who is Dime MTL, the brand dropping this collab with Adidas?
Dime MTL is a Montreal-based skate and streetwear brand known for its playful take on design, events, and video content. It started in 2005 with just 100 T-shirts printed for friends at a local shop, but it didn’t take long for their creative approach to catch on, turning Dime into a favorite in the skate community.
Today, Dime MTL designs clothing, apparel and accessories. They are also into event production and organise standout skate events like the Dime Glory Challenge and the Street Challenge, both known for their wild stunts and laid back vibe.
How to style the Dime x adidas Gazelle ADV for an upscale look
This may be a skate shoe, but with its sleek leather build and metallic details, it can easily fit a more polished look. Dress it up by balancing tailored pieces with clean, minimal styling.
Pair these Gazelles with tailored trousers or structured wool slacks instead of denim. Stick to neutral tones like black, grey, or deep navy, and avoid loud graphics or oversized fits. Sharp tailoring and clean lines will make these shoes feel right at home in an upscale outfit.
For the top, go with a knit turtleneck or a crisp button-up, layering with a slim-cut blazer or wool overcoat. The contrast between the luxury-inspired outerwear and the skate shoe makes the outfit feel effortlessly put together.
To accessorize, ditch the bulky skate backpack for a leather crossbody or structured tote. Any other accessories should be subtle but intentional. A simple silver chain, a high-quality belt, or minimalist sunglasses will do the trick.
Retail and availability
Interestingly, the Dime adidas Gazelle ADV landed at some lucky skate shops before Dime even teased it. The official launch date is March 1st via Dime, with an Adidas release to follow. They will retail for $110.
