Summer vibes are coming early
Release date: April 26, 2025
Price: 190 USD (adult sizes)
You know it’s that time again: April’s bringing sunshine, fresh fits, and the beloved tradition of new Air Jordan drops. Remember you don’t have to wait until December’s big Jordan drop, real sneakerheads know April’s quietly stacked too. This year, Jordan Brand’s throwing it back in a big way with the first-ever official release of the Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred.” Mark your calendars.
A classic design, now low-key
This sneaker’s got serious legacy. We’re talking black patent leather uppers, ballistic nylon, white midsoles and that iconic red translucent outsole. Basically, it’s got the whole OG “Bred” vibe, albeit trimmed down. If you’re a Michael Jordan nerd, you already know he rocked this low-top PE during the ‘96 NBA Finals. And no, this isn’t the same as those other Bred Lows from a few years back (those had red lining). This one’s all throwback energy, no confusion.
Performance features of the Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred”
The Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” isn’t just about looks, it’s built to hold up when it’s time to move, with a mix of real and synthetic leather plus a signature patent overlay, the upper gives lightweight durability without weighing you down. The full-length Phylon midsole packs a Nike Air unit inside, so you get solid cushioning with every step, whether you’re posting up at the park or running errands. The rubber outsole’s got a multi-directional pattern that grips well on different surfaces: courts, pavement, whatever. It’s a low-top, so you’ll get more ankle freedom and quicker moves, but still enough support for all-day wear.
Styling the Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred”
Styling these kicks is easy because they already do the heavy lifting. That glossy black patent leather and red outsole pop against just about anything. Rock them with tapered joggers and a clean graphic tee for a casual flex or throw on baggy cargos and a zip-up hoodie if you're going for that laid-back streetwear vibe. They also pair smooth with outdoor clothing like windbreakers or utility vests when you’re layering up. For a cleaner look, black denim and a white tee always hit. Whether you’re hitting a boutique clothing shop or pulling up to the mall, these sneakers add just the right amount of flash without trying too hard.
The history of Air Jordan 11
The Air Jordan 11 is legendary. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and first released in 1995, it was the shoe MJ wore during his first full season back after retirement, and the Bulls’ iconic 72-10 run. The AJ11 featured patent leather on a basketball shoe, something nobody had seen before. MJ debuted the “Concord” colorway in the playoffs, but the “Bred” version became just as iconic during the 1996 NBA Finals. He also wore AJXIs when he famously played himself in the movie Space Jam in 1996. Every December release becomes a sneaker event, but the lows, like this “Bred” edition, keep the legacy alive through spring drops.
