Taekwondo, ballet or just stylish? Whatever it is, we’re vibing for these Benito kicks.

Price: 120 USD (to be confirmed)

Bad Bunny’s been racking up wins in 2025 from the hype around his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos to his next adidas drop. The Puerto Rican rapper’s latest sneaker collab, the Bad Bunny Ballerina, is finally getting an official spotlight. Expect two colorways, both already teased.

If you were paying attention back in June 2024, you might’ve clocked them at Paris Fashion Week. Benito rocked the Ballerinas while stepping out with Kendall Jenner, giving the world an early preview. Adidas later confirmed the design pulls from their Taekwondo silhouette, a low-key archive model that’s been floating around in low-volume releases.

Design

The Bad Bunny Ballerina pulls details from his Gazelle Indoor collab, but with updates. It’s dropping in ‘Off White’ and ‘Core Black’—with a third colorway still under wraps. His signature “Benito” (Bad Bunny’s legal first name) label is stitched next to the classic adidas stripes The upper blends mesh and suede for that mix of texture and comfort, finished with contrast leather Three-Stripes on the sides. The size tag wraps awkwardly around the back, staying true to Benito’s inside-out thing.

Looking at the pictures, what really makes this design is the sole. Adidas pulled it straight from the Taekwondo silhouette, so it’s flat, flexible, and finished with a grippy gum rubber bottom. The laces are swapped for a bungee cord toggle setup—clean, quick, and kinda futuristic. Apparently, they come in great packaging. We haven't seen it yet, but we do love a good unboxing moment, so we'll give it bonus points for that.

Benito’s not the only one pushing this dance-inspired sneaker vibe. Loewe dropped the Ballet Runner earlier this year, and Nike’s been remixing its Air Force 1s for the dancefloor too. Safe to say, ballet-core is having a moment and even if you’re not into ballet as such, these kicks will look great in your TikToks.

Performance

We know you won’t let the name “Ballerina” fool you, but to be on the safe side, we’ll just confirm that this isn’t an actual ballet shoe. It’s got the looks, but not the features serious dancers need. There’s no real arch support, next-level grip or built-in flexibility like you'd find in actual dance shoes. This one’s all about fashion with a ballet-inspired twist.

Think of it as a style piece, not something to wear for rehearsals or performances. For actual dancers, you’re better off with proper gear like pointe shoes for ballet or dance sneakers built for specific styles. Even for social dancing or a night at the club, most of us would be more comfortable in lower, wider heels or sneakers.

Release date and price

Word on the street is that these will be released on 1 April. Let’s hope it’s no April’s fool joke, but other reports have mentioned a release in May. The price is rumored to be $120.
